BREAKING: Ronda Rousey Contract Signing Ends in Chaos After Triple H Returns & Kurt Angle Outs the Authority
This weekend’s WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view was set to feature the blockbuster contract signing of UFC icon and women’s MMA trailblazer Ronda Rousey, who made her shocking debut at last month’s Royal Rumble.
The night ended in complete chaos after the return of Triple H, who hadn’t been seen since delivering a Pedigree to RAW General Manager Kurt Angle at the 2017 Survivor Series pay-per-view. “The Game” accompanied his wife Stephanie McMahon to the ring alongside Angle to welcome Rousey into the company, but before she could sign on the dotted line the Olympic gold medalist had a few things to get off his chest.
Angle made claims that the Authority were only attempting to sign the former UFC Bantamweight Champion in order to keep her “under their thumb”, a measure of revenge after Ronda embarrassed them at WrestleMania 31 alongside The Rock. He also claimed that Stephanie called her a “has been” and that she couldn’t even beat the self-proclaimed “Billion Dollar Princess”, let alone a legitimate WWE Superstar.
Triple H quickly removed the WWE Hall of Famer from the ring and returned to finish the contract signing, but Ronda had other plans, dropping the “King of Kings” through a table with a textbook side suplex.
