Injury Updates: Aerostar Has Scary Moment at Impact Tapings, NJPW Star Out, Will Zack Ryder Be in Greatest Rumble?

According to PWInsider.com, there was a scary moment at last night’s Impact Wrestling TV tapings when Andrew Everett hit Aerostar with a 450 Splash and it appeared Aerostar might have suffered broken ribs as he had the wind completely knocked out of him.

Medics were called to the ring after the spot and Taya Valkyrie hit the ring to help translate for the injured star. After being checked on by the medics, Aerostar was helped to the back and it has since been reported that he will be fine and was not taken to a local medical facility.

New Japan Pro Wrestling young lion Tetsuhiro Yagi recently suffered a fractured right ulna and has been removed from upcoming events.

Will Zack Ryder Be in the Greatest Royal Rumble?

As we noted yesterday, Zack Ryder received some good news when he learned an MRI revealed he will not require surgery for his injured knee. However, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports Ryder will not be traveling to Saudi Arabia and therefore will not be competing in the Greatest Royal Rumble match. No word on when Ryder will be returning to the ring.
