“We’ll deal with policy after January the 20th. This was a courtesy call,” Pence told ABC’s “This Week.”

“They reached out to offer congratulations, as leaders around the world have,” Pence added.

The vice president-elect also said “it’s a little mystifying” that Trump can speak by phone to a democratically elected leader, while President Obama can reach out to a “murdering dictator” in Cuba in the last year.
