GOP rep: Bill Clinton ‘doesn’t want to let go’

Collins’ remarks come a day after Bill Clinton, acting as a New York state elector, cast a ballot for his wife and then went on to blame her loss on FBI Director James Comey’s late-breaking letter about the investigation into her campaign. Clinton also touted Hillary Clinton’s nearly 3 million popular vote lead over Trump.

“Bill Clinton continues to be one of those people who just doesn’t want to let go, wants to refers to Donald Trump as the Electoral College president,” Collins told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on “New Day.”

“That was totally inappropriate by former President Clinton to make the comments he did,” Collins added.

On Tuesday, Trump criticized Bill Clinton’s handling of the 2016 campaign on Twitter. Collins defended Trump for his Twitter remarks.

“I don’t blame Donald Trump at all,” Collins said.

Bill Clinton cast doubt on Trump’s intelligence earlier this month, according to an editorial in the Bedford-Pound Ridge Record Review.

“He doesn’t know much,” he said. “One thing he does know is how to get angry, white men to vote for him.”
