No Latin American Tournament for WWE, Lesnar Coming to Live Event
It was recently reported that WWE will be hosting a Latin American tournament later this summer. The report claimed that shows will be held in Chile this August, and that Rey Mysterio will rejoin the company and held put the tournament together. This did seem like an idea that the company would actually do given the fact that they are always looking to enter into different markets across the world, and also because of the success of their past Cruiserweight Classic, Mae Young Classic, and United Kingdom Championship tournament shows on the WWE Network. Unfortunately, it does not look like the company will be introducing such a tournament for right now.

The @WWE has no Latin American tournament booked at this time despite the news that is being reported today.

Rumors of a possible Latin American tournament being announced by WWE have been gaining a lot of traction recently, but NXT personality and talent scout William Regal took to Twitter to inform the public that the company is not in fact planning such a tournament after all. Given the fact that he has used phrases such as “at this time” in his wording, some fans still believe that a Latin American tournament could still be on the horizon at some point, but just at a later time. For now though, it looks like the rumors of a Latin American tournament are false. Stay tuned for any possible updates relating to the next tournament that WWE does plan on airing on their network.
Although he has been the Universal Champion for almost a full year, Brock Lesnar is rarely around to defend his title. Lesnar typically only wrestles when one of WWE’s major pay-per-views rolls around, and he is currently rumored to be defending his championship against Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania this year. Before that match takes place though, WWE is now advertising a rare Brock Lesnar in-ring match for an upcoming live event. “The Beast” is scheduled to face Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a “champion vs. champion” match at the show. The planned match between Lesnar and Miz will be taking place on March 9th in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
