Kurt Angle “Fires” Braun Strowman on WWE Raw, Major Change Made to Royal Rumble Title Match
Last week on WWE Raw, Braun Strowman went on a complete rampage during a backstage brawl with WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar and the “Devil’s Favorite Demon” Kane. After getting the upper hand in the fight, the “Monster Among Men” used a grappling hook to pull down a portion of the Raw entrance set on top of his Royal Rumble opponents.
Raw general manager Kurt Angle kicked off this week’s edition of WWE Raw and made the shocking announcement that not only would Strowman no longer be involved in the Universal Championship triple threat match at the Royal Rumble, but the super heavyweight has been FIRED!
It’s worth noting that this is obviously a storyline element put in place to promote the upcoming title bout, as Strowman quickly went on a path of destruction, assaulting a dozen security guards and promising to make every member of the Raw roster “catch these hands” before the night is over. We’ll keep you posted on what this means, if anything, for the Royal Rumble title picture.
