Kacy Catanzaro On Her Favorite WWE Stars, Her Celebrity Leading to Trainer Skepticism, Advice From Alexa Bliss

WWE NXT and Mae Young Classic star Kacy Catanzaro recently spoke with The Orlando Sentinel and below are several interview highlights.

On who she watched growing up:

“When I was about 10 or 11, my sister and I would sit in front of the TV in the basement and watch ‘Raw’ and ‘Smackdown,’” Catanzaro said. “Our favorites were Stone Cold Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels and Triple H.”

On advice given to her by Alexa Bliss when Catanzaro had doubts about a career in WWE:

“[Bliss] let me know that this is possible,” Catanzaro said. “I can get in there, hold my own and hopefully make a difference.”

On trainers being skeptical of her abilities and feeling her celebrity status earned her a spot she did not deserve:

“I realized that I can either be upset that they feel that way or I can just prove to them that I do belong here…” Catanzaro said. “I’m grateful to be here and I’m going to work every day to keep my spot.”
