Baron Corbin “Fires” Heath Slater As In-Ring Competitor On WWE RAW; Will He Become A Referee?

As previously reported, WWE Raw General Manager-elect Baron Corbin forced former tag team champions Heath Slater and Rhyno to compete against one another this Monday night, with the loser of the match being fired from the show.

Slater would ultimately go on to win the bout in less than one minute, and shortly after WWE.com released a statement claiming that Rhyno had been fired from WWE RAW, questioning his future with the company.

Later in the night, Corbin revealed to Heath Slater that he actually had no plans in allowing either of the former partners to stay on, firing him as an in-ring competitor. However, the veteran superstar was offered a brand new role as a referee…
