Injury Update On Dakota Kai; How Serious Is The Situation?

The leader of Team Kick, Dakota Kai suffered an injury at a recent NXT live event and a report by the Wrestling Observer has given more details on its severity.

Kai was involved in a six-woman tag team match when she went down and the officials threw up the X sign, which led to her being helped to the back and sadly it seems that the injury is worse than many had thought.

According to Dave Meltzer, Kai underwent an MRI following the incident to check out the damage and the results weren’t good, with Kai reportedly suffering from a torn ACL, which would see her out of action for six to nine months.

Whilst nothing has yet been confirmed by WWE or by Kai herself it isn’t a good sign for her and it seems like she will sadly be joining her Team Kick teammate, Tegan Nox on the shelf for the foreseeable future.

The New Zealand Superstar had become a regular feature on NXT towards the end of 2018 as well as being a key member of the NXT UK women’s roster, with this injury providing a major blow to WWE’s plans for her. Everyone at ProWrestling.com would like to wish Kai a speedy recovery.
