Cain Velasquez Contract Update

According to ESPN, former-UFC Champion Cain Velasquez has yet to officially sign a deal with WWE, despite appearing on the company’s Fox Sports 1 debut on Friday.

”That’s correct, not officially … but hopefully,” he said. “With tonight and doing what I did and kinda working with them … I would love to work with them. I would love it.”

Velasquez also mentioned that Ultimate Fighting Championships is supporting the two time champions foray into professional wrestling. Velasquez debuted at the end of Friday’s edition of SmackDown, facing new WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, whom Velasquez has defeated in MMA.

Until Cain officially signs a contract, it is entirely possible for the fighter to wrestle another match for AAA, or even wrestle on Wednesday’s edition of AEW Dynamite.
