“Matanza Quedo” Jeff Cobb Wrestles Tonight For New Japan

The man who plays the evil masked villain Matanza Cuedo, Jeff Cobb will wrestle his first match tonight for New Japan Pro Wrestling without his mask as part of the New Japan World Tag League Tournament as he teams up with Michael Elgin to take on the CHAOS team of Toru Yano and Tomohiro Ishii in the first round of the B block of action.
Cobb is a former amateur wrestling champion representing the US territory of Guam in 2004. Since then he has wrestled in Hawaii and South Carolina and has experience with Progress Wrestling in England and also Pro Wrestling Guerrilla.
Being part of New Japan would not affect his role in Lucha Underground as it is not on a televised card in the United States, as well as being in between the filming of Season 3 and 4, should he choose to re-sign with the television show to take part in the recently announced fourth season of the show.

As Cobb is taking part in the World Tag League tournament, he will be wrestling at least seven more times as the tournament in the B block where the round robin tournament will have him and Elgin face Ishii and Yano, The Killer Elite Squad, War Machine, Best Friends, Henare and Togi Makabe, the Guerrillas of Destiny, and the team of Katsuya Kitamura and David Finlay (Jr.). Then the winner of this Block would then move on to a possible final.
