The WrestleMania card is absolutely loaded from top to bottom with matches that could be considered to main event the show, but at the end of the day, only one match can close out WrestleMania. That match has just been revealed on the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Live show. Bryan Alvarez stated during the show that the plan is still to have the Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar match for the Universal Championship be featured as the main event of WrestleMania this year. While plans could always still change between now and the day of the show, WWE reportedly wants to end the show with what is likely Brock Lesnar’s final match with the company and with Roman Reigns winning the title.
There have been a few rumors circulating as of late suggesting that WrestleMania could have a very special surprise guest come by unannounced. During the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez addressed rumors claiming that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could be appearing in some form during the WrestleMania 34 broadcast this Sunday night. The Rock’s involvement on the show has not been confirmed as of yet, but Alvarez did state that The Rock could very well be appearing at the show this weekend during a segment involving “The Drifter” Elias. Will “The Great One” emerge at the “Grandest Stage of Them All” in New Orleans this weekend? We will find out very soon.
It was reported yesterday that a number of WWE Superstars who have been on the shelf with an injury were backstage during last night’s Raw show in Atlanta, Georgia. Among the names present backstage last night were Jeff Hardy, R-Truth, Alicia Fox, and Samoa Joe. PWInsider has now just confirmed that an additional name who has been out with an injury was backstage during Raw last night as well. After recovering from a facial injury at the hands of Hideo Itami, it appears that 205 Live star The Brian Kendrick was backstage during the show on Monday night. This could indicate that the cruiserweight star may be on his way back to the ring once again.
