Juice Robinson Wins IWGP US Title, Fox Returns, Roode Injured?

New Japan Pro Wrestling performer Juice Robinson is now the brand new IWGP United States Champion. Robinson defeated Jay White during NJPW’s G1 Special shows in San Francisco last night to win his first singles title in New Japan. Robinson is not only the first American to win the title, but he is also only the third person to win it after Jay White and inaugural champion Kenny Omega. Robinson previously competed for WWE as part of FCW and NXT as before he returned to Japan. The wrestler formerly known as CJ Parker has completely reinvented himself over the years, and it will be very interesting to see what else Robinson is capable of now that he has finally won a championship in NJPW.

There are currently quite a large number of WWE Superstars who are out of action due to an injury at the moment. One of those superstars had been Raw’s Alicia Fox, who was pulled from the women’s Royal Rumble match in January due to a tailbone injury. Fortunately, Fox was cleared a few weeks ago and she even appeared on camera during a backstage segment on a recent Raw show. Fox also just made her in-ring return during last night’s WWE live event in Madison Square Garden. She teamed up with Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan to face the team of Natalya, Ember Moon, and Bayley, but Fox’s team did not end up winning the match. Fox will hopefully be back wrestling on the road on a full time schedule once again now.

After debuting on the main WWE roster as a member of Smackdown, and after winning the United States Championship, Bobby Roode begun the next stage of his career when he was moved over to Raw earlier this year. Roode has continued to garner some attention over the past number of weeks, but a new report claims that the former NXT Champion could be taking some time off soon. During last night’s live event in Madison Square Garden, it was noted by WrestlingNews.co that Roode grabbed his knee after a leapfrog during his match against Mojo Rawley, and Roode was also helped to the back after the match abruptly ended. There is no word on whether or not this is expected to be a serious injury or not just yet.
