Triple H on NXT Lifers, Impact Star Off Survivor, Ohno vs. Riddle
Triple H may have suffered a devastating shoulder injury, but that does not mean that “The Game” is about to miss out on the Survivor Series festivities in Los Angeles this weekend. Triple H just took part in a media call to promote the NXT Takeover: WarGames event this Saturday. Among the topics he discussed was the possibility of stars in NXT remaining there throughout their WWE careers. He said that he truly views NXT as a third brand for WWE now, meaning that some competitors may not be “called up” to Raw or SmackDown in the future, and he believes that NXT is in a position now where some wrestlers can remain on the brand for good. He also said that some talents from the main roster can be brought back to NXT in the future as well.
“I think you could be at a place where you see main level talent stay in
NXT. I think we’re also at the point where you could see some talent
that have been on RAW or SmackDown for periods of time and have either
had success, not had success, or for whatever reason, aren’t being
utilized go back into NXT.” Triple H said.
John Hennigan is experiencing perhaps the greatest amount of success in his in-ring career at the moment. He even walked out of Impact Wrestling’s Bound for Glory event as the promotion’s world champion a few weeks back. Unfortunately, Hennigan received some troubling news on the most recent edition of Survivor. The Impact and Lucha Underground star was eliminated from the reality TV series this week. Hennigan had been invited to compete on the 37th season of the show earlier this year, and he had been successful up until recently. Hennigan was voted off the show following a betrayal from his close friend. Although Hennigan is gone from the show, wrestling fans can still look forward to seeing him on Impact each Thursday night.
Wow!!!! That #TRIBALCOUNCIL #blindside was AMAZING. I think its 1 of the best because John surely didn’t see that coming. I was so hoping there were other names in there besides C and A. #survivordavidvsgoliath #Survivor. David took out a Goliath in true sweet form. Bye Bro.????

NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno has been calling out the new stars in NXT for a while now, and the in-ring veteran has been particularly upset with recent signee Matt Riddle. Ohno has wanted to take on Matt Riddle and defeat him in order to show that he is still the very best in NXT. Eager to devalue the NXT rookie, Ohno challenged him to a match during this week’s episode of NXT. Riddle accepted Ohno’s request for a match, so the bout will indeed be taking place in the future. Riddle vs. Ohno will not be taking place at NXT Takeover: WarGames this Saturday, and although no confirmation on when the match will occur was revealed, it seems likely that these two will go at it during an episode of NXT within the next few weeks.
