Heavy rain thwarts final Italian GP practice
Felipe Massa was one of only seven drivers who ventured out amid very adverse weather conditions in Saturday’s final free practice session.
The 60-minute session was delayed 44 minutes as the rain pounded down over Monza, leaving just 16 minutes of track time.
The bulk of the field elected to remain dry in the garages but Williams made it a one-two with Massa heading the timesheet in front of team mate Lance Stroll.
Nico Hulkenberg was another bold driver to brace the conditions, setting the fourth fastest time while Sainz, Palmer, Ericsson and Dany Kvyat completed the list of those who registered a time.
