Bubble London scores record

During the fourth edition of Bubble London, the kids trade show attracted 15% more visitors in comparison to its January 09 event. Over two days on 22-23 June, Bubble London showcased 150 collections (up 21% from previous season), from fifteen countries, cementing the event’s position as one of the most exciting shows on the international kids’ calendar.

International visitors, who made up 12% of the total visitors, came from all over the world including many European countries, USA, Australia, China and Japan. Leading kids’ retailers attending the show included key department stores Fenwick, John Lewis, Selfridges, Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Bon Marche, as well as key independents from the UK, Europe and beyond, including Elias and Grace, Couverture, Felix and Lilys, Bibi Klamer, Olive Loves Alfie, and The Hambledon and on-line retailers.

Exhibitors were impressed with this season’s show. “Bubble London is a breath of fresh air in the childrenswear industry,” says Michael Schlaeppi of Skyline Agencies, representing Noppies and Sterntaler. “London, and specifically Islington, is a very good location for the show and the venue is fantastic, providing a very relaxed and atmosphere for our customers. Bubble London has the opportunity to bring the ‘buzz’ back to the industry with fresh ideas and become the key point of reference for every childrenswear buyer. We’ll be back!”

Bubble London also unveiled its new location at the Business Design Centre, formerly the Royal Agricultural Hall. Situated in the heart of the fashionable Islington district, the new layout provided a remarkable venue for this unique event and an easy-to-navigate space.

The fifth edition of Bubble London will be held at the Business Design Centre on January 31st and February 1st, 2010.
